Rebeca Oliveira (guitar) and Peter Wiegand (violin) are two accomplished musicians who met while teaching at the Musikschule Heinrich Schütz Gera. Both have extensive experience in the music industry, and their passion for music brought them together to form a guitar and violin duo.

As a duo, Rebeca and Peter perform regularly in Germany, showcasing their skills and passion for music to audiences across the country. Their performances are a perfect blend of classical and contemporary music, showing their versatility and ability to adapt to various genres.

Both Rebeca and Peter are renowned music educators, with a wealth of experience in teaching music to students of all ages and skill levels. Their experience as music teachers and performers brings a unique perspective to their performances, and their passion for teaching and music shines through in every performance.

Rebeca Oliveira

Rebeca Oliveira is a classical guitarist from Madeira Island, Portugal, who has been acclaimed by the international press for her technique and musicality. She released two albums, one of which is a tribute to her native Madeira Island and the other is a recording of her transcriptions of Portuguese baroque composer Carlos Seixas' sonatas. She began her musical studies at the Conservatory – Professional School of Arts of Madeira and later completed her studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music in Vigo, and in "Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt WEIMAR". She has won numerous awards in national and international competitions and currently teaches at Musikschule Heinrich Schütz Gera, Germany.

Peter Wiegand

Born in Saalfeld, Germany, Peter discover the musical legacy of the Thuringian Sängerknabe under Walter Schönheit. From studying violin and chamber music in Weimar to becoming a music educator at the "Heinrich Schütz" music school in Gera, Peter has a wealth of experience in the field. He has performed across the globe in countries such as Poland, France, Finland, Switzerland, and the USA. As a member of the Thuringian State Music Council, he is also a juror for Jeunesses Musicales. With a history of being the concertmaster for the Gera Chamber String Orchestra from 1986 to 2005, Peter has taken the role of musical director of the same orchestra since 2005.
